Nick + Adrian | Kelowna Engagement Session | Okanagan Wedding Photographer
Adrian + Nick. Where to start? When you meet people while you’re having fun, it’s always a good start to a new friendship. My husband and I met these two while on a winery tour in the Okanagan ( Kelowna to be exact ) for a good friend’s wedding at Ancient Hill Estate Winery (which I also photographed and I’m super excited to share those once I’m done!). Alex always spoke about these two and how they were pretty much part of the family. She has a heart of gold so I have to assume that those dearest to her are pretty freaking awesome too. My spidey senses were right. Over a couple bottles of delicious Riesling and an over-packed greyhound bus ride full of Alex and Connor’s closest friends, josh and I happened to park our butts on the row behind Nick and Adrian. We quickly connected and let’s just say that many yummy glasses of wine were enjoyed together along with lots of good stories! That weekend was truly full to the brim of joy and will be one I will never forget. Some people you’re just meant to meet, and that’s how I feel about these two (both in meeting them, and in them meeting each other). Love like this makes it easy for me to capture. When I showed these two their photos, they kept on saying “Angie, you’re magic”. But in reality, there is no magic on my end. I picked a pretty and simple backdrop with good light and the magic was really between these two. We don’t really know what we look like when we’re looking at the one we love, only they can see that. I know I did my job when I’m able to capture that connection, that genuine love between two souls — that’s where the magic is. That’s when people look their best and their happiest. That’s when they truly love a photo. I am so grateful for meeting these two and am so happy that I was able to show them just how much love there really is between them. Their love is easy. That’s the way it should be and we can all learn a thing or two from couples like Adrian and Nick. Congratulations on your engagement and enjoy every moment of your wedding planning!
